I've done more research on sheets than I ever wanted to but I'm tired of paying high prices and not getting my money's worth. I really didn't have any expectations when I ordered these so I was VERY pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Very impressed by the packaging and the obvious concern the company has for not contributing more plastic waste to our landfills. The sheets were soft right out of the packaging before being washed. I got them out of the dryer as soon as it stopped and the wrinkles were very minimal. I love that the edges didn't curl up like most sheets. Super soft, and wonderfully crisp! Nikki gives her seal of approval too :) I'm ordering a second set for myself AND I'll be using them for the bed in an airbnb suite I have in my home. Thank you Boston Linen Co. for making such a wonderful product!!! Highly recommend this product and I was not compensated in any way for this review.
Pro's:-Affordability-Quality construction-Small company with an awesome CEO-Breathability of cotton-Truly zero plastic used in their packagingCon's:-The percale is rough (While this should be a given, I always see a lot of people complaining about this on nearly every percale sheet set, so I thought it was worth mentioning.)-They wrinkle (Also a given, but also a common complaint.)-Personally don't like the offwhite color.I ordered my set of sheets through their website because they were having a 20% off launch sale. These sheets are a good option for affordable percale cotton sheets. Yes they are rough, but you are buying percale. Sateen is what you want if you want soft. This is my first time ever buying percale so the degree of roughness did surprise me, it reminds me of hospital/ER sheets, my husband said they feel like hotel sheets to him. I was worried they would cling to clothing really bad or that the rough feel would bother me when I slept (I have sensory issues/heightened sense of touch) but I got used to the feeling quickly and I've slept comfortably in them with clothes on. I've heard that they will soften with use/washes as well. They are not more catchy with clothing than sheets normally are. One con to them is they do wrinkle horribly, but you'll probably find this with all cotton sheets, that's just a part of the fabric. You'll need to be careful about not forgetting them in the dryer, pull them out as soon as they are done and put them on the bed or fold them up and put them away. I bought these because I prefer the feel of cotton, the crispness, and I am a hot sleeper. These have indeed helped a ton with regulating my body temperature, so long as my husband does not lay on me or try to cuddle me in his sleep, but sheets won't fix that, I still need to get a body pillow for him. They are delightfully cool to the touch and I stay a comfortable degree of warm when I sleep in them. I was also a bit disappointed by the offwhite/beige color. I'm not taking a star off my review for this because I don't feel it is that huge of a deal, but the offwhite/beige is a lot more yellow/saturated in color than I was expecting. It is not more like a tan or brownish color. I think I will order white sheets next time, I was worried about doing so because I worry that they stain badly as my husband is a sweater and I wouldn't want to ruin the durability of the fibers with corrosive bleach, but I would rather have stains than yellowish sheets. I'm now curious as to how they will hold up to wear and will update my review later with the results!
A beautiful set of sheets - even my finicky granddaughter love'd the set. I bought a lavender and blue comforter to match. A happy granddaughter
